THROW A THROW PILLOW

THROW A THROW PILLOW

We often look for new ways to reinvent our space and give it the right chi. We might do this by moving the sofa over there, shifting the picture to another room, and painting the walls a different colour; but have you tried throw pillows?

Throw pillows are a quick and easy way to add some drama to the room. They are small decorative pillows and tend to be square in shape, but you can also find rectangular, circular and cylindrical throw pillows.

The great thing about throw pillows is that you can use them to transform a living room, a bedroom and even add a unique angle to your study, assuming you had a sofa or two in it. The best thing about throw pillows is, you don’t have to change the cover the way you do for normal pillows, and all you need to do is puff and place.

Throw pillows can also be designed with company logos and placed in the reception area, therefore giving that impression of class and foresight. They can also be excellent gifts for clients.

For a classy and simple look, use colour sparingly. If you want something soft and feminine, go for pastel colours. If you want to be bold this season, try contrasting colours. Gold throw pillows on a green sofa or bed cover; yellow throw pillows on a dark blue armchair or grey throw pillows on a pink duvet. Have some fun playing with different colour palettes. Go online and look for styles you might like.

This season, why not try print; more specifically have some fun with Ankara print. But remember, if you are going to attempt Ankara print throw pillows, it would be best if your sofa or bed cover was plain.
