The second edition of THAT ART FAIR, Fresh Art From Africa will run from February 18 to March 6, 2016 at The Palms Centre, Cape Town. The fair, an initiative of ART AFRICA magazine is a vibrant multi-platform art fair that includes a programme of African film and video, talks and workshops and the exciting THAT ART PARTY line up featuring some of the most exciting musical acts from Africa.

Participating galleries are Lab Art&Co (Luanda, Angola), Afriart (Kampala, Uganda), ARTCO Art Gallery (Aachen, Germany), First Floor Gallery (Harare, Zimbabwe) and Mojo Gallery (Dubai, UAE).

Also specially invited is artist Emo de Medeiros (Benin/ France) who will present works from his recent Paris exhibition entitled All Things Magic. de Medeiros’ exhibit at THAT ART FAIR includes pieces from his Afrofuturistic video sculptures series ‘Vodunaut,’ and others from his series ‘Surtentures,’ which mixes Benin’s historical craft of ‘appliquéed’ hangings with digital imagery and Near Field Communication (NFC) chips, along with works from his digitally connected ‘Electrofetishes’ series and digital photographs from his project Kaleta/Kaleta.

Ladun Ogidan is the Deputy Editor of Omenka Africa’s first art, business and luxury- lifestyle magazine. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Covenant University, Nigeria. Ogidan is also Operations Manager at the Omenka Gallery, and Chief Operating Officer at Revilo Company Limited, a leading art publishing company in Lagos. She has co-ordinated several exhibitions at home and abroad.
