Lagos Fringe Festival Offers Opportunities for African Visual Artists with “My Art, My Life”

Africa’s largest performing arts festival, Lagos Fringe has called for entries from visual artists to a competition as part of this year’s festival.
Winners will be carefully selected and work closely with the festival taking place from Sunday, November 11 till Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Lagos, across various venues, and in collaboration with the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
The 20 winners of this competition will be offered a free space to exhibit their artworks and an opportunity to build a long-term relationship with the festival and its partners.
Entries are in the following categories: drawing, painting, sculpting, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking and architecture. To enter, artists are expected to submit a 59-second video showcasing their art, sharing same on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using #LagosFringe #MyLifeMyArt and tagging @lagosfringe on social media.
The submission deadline is Friday, November 9, 2018.

The Lagos Fringe strands is an open-access showcase for performers, exhibitors, vendors and production companies to present their work without restriction to style, such as theatre, children’s theatre, dance, film, spoken word, comedy, puppetry, cabaret, photography, face painting, martial arts display, music and interdisciplinary arts.
