Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2018

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) is proudly a South African-produced event,
CTIJF is the flagship event for the leading events management and production company espAfrika, which has staged and produced several world-renowned events.
Affectionately referred to as “Africa’s grandest gathering”, the festival is the largest music event in sub-Saharan Africa and is famous for its star-studded line up of local and international artists. The 2018 lineup includes British Queen of Soul, Corrine Bailey Rae, the father of Ethiopian jazz, Mulatu Astatke and 2015 Jazz Artist of the Year, Vijay Iyer and his sextet (USA). Brazilian guitarist and singer Seu Jorge will present a tribute set to David Bowie titled The Life Aquatic and Kenyan. In addition, DJ ‘Blinky’ Bill Sellanga joins forces with South African producer Sibot for a vibrant electronic collaboration. Trombone Shorty (USA), The Louiz Banks Quartet (India), Nduduzo Makhathini (SA) and Nicky Schrire (SA) will also take the stage.
