Cape Town Art Fair 2018

From February 16 to 18 2018, the 6th edition of the Cape Town Art Fair will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). Produced by the internationally recognised Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa, the annual fair, to be known as Investec Cape Town Art Fair, showcases a diversity of work that represents the forefront of contemporary art from Africa to the world.
Internationally renowned galleries such as Galerija Gregor Podnar from Berlin, Germany, Perrotin and Magnin-A both from Paris, France, will be welcomed to Cape Town for the first time. We will also see the return of leading galleries such as Galleria Minini, October Gallery, Galleria Continua, Primo Marella Gallery, and Tiwani Contemporary.
Also contributing to the strong showing of the region’s art marketimportantrtant established and emerging galleries from the African continent such as Galerie Cecile Fakhoury from Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Afriart Gallery from Kampala, Uganda, Circle Art Gallery from Nairobi, Kenya, First Floor Gallery Harare from Harare, Zimbabwe, ARTLabAfrica from Nairobi, Kenya and Addis Fine Art from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE and Mov’art, both from Angola, will also be attending for the first time, presenting solo presentations in ICTAF’s curated sections Tomorrows/Today and SOLO. Curated by Nontobeko Ntombela, the inaugural edition of SOLO will highlight the contribution of female artists, and will include Parul Thacker from India, represented by London-based Amar Gallery, Maïmouna Guerresi from Italy and Senegal, represented by the Milanese Officine dell’Immagine and locally, exciting young artists such as Buhlebezwe Siwani represented by WHATIFTHEWORLD and Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum represented by Tiwani Contemporary.
