ARTHOUSE HOLDS 16TH MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART SALE

On May 9, 2016, Arthouse Contemporary Limited will hold its 16th Modern and Contemporary Art Sale at The Wheatbaker, Ikoyi featuring 116 lots by celebrated and emerging artists from across Africa.
The highlight of this year’s sale is Ben Enwonwu’s 1990 oil on canvas, Obitun Dancers, 102 x 76cm estimated between ₦18,000,000-22,000,000. Others are Yusuf Grillo’s 1999-2002 oil on board, Threatened Innocence, 122 x 61cm with an estimate of ₦15,000,000-17,000,000; Demas Nwoko, Senegalese Woman, 1965, gouache on paper, 63.5 x 48.5cm estimated between ₦4,500,000-6,000,000; and Amon Kotei, Untitled, 2005, oil on canvas, 140 x 81.5 cm with estimates ₦4,200,000-4,500,000.
