Art X Lagos 2017: African Art Connoisseurs Set to Take Lagos

From November 3 to 5, 2017, TP-Collective will present the second edition of ART X Lagos, at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, featuring some of Africa’s leading and emerging artists, from around the world including, South Africa, Ghana and Ivory Coast.

Founded by Tokini Peterside, the maiden edition of the fair saw 65 artists from 10 countries in Africa present works across various media including painting, sculpture, illustration and photography. Over the course of three days, more than 5,000 guests including art lovers, enthusiasts, private collectors and international observers came through the Civic Centre to see the best of art from around the continent. Highlights include a special performance tagged ART X Live!, a live installation combining music and visual art, as well as a dynamic talks program with over 30 local and international speakers.
In 4 months, ART X Lagos will return to entertain a vast and varied local and international audience as it seeks to reinforce Lagos’ position as an emergent cultural capital on the continent.
