That Art Fair Debuts In Cape Town

On February 27, 2015, ARTsouthAFRICA launched THAT ART FAIR, a curated and affordable art fair with the sole objective to provide a platform for emerging and established African artists who work under the radar and differ from their counterparts. The fair ran till March 1 alongside the Cape Town Art Fair, GUILD Design Fair, and the Design Indaba Expo.

THAT ART FAIR aims at building new young audiences and collectors in Africa while making art entertaining and accessible. It is also committed to fostering a spirit of creativity, sustainability and positive change in the contemporary African art world.

The fair is organized and promoted by Brendon Bell-Roberts and his wife, Suzette. They co-founded the cutting edge Bell-Roberts Gallery in 1999 and launched ARTsouthAFRICA magazine 3 years later.

Ladun Ogidan is the Deputy Editor of Omenka magazine. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Covenant University, Nigeria. Ogidan is also Assistant Curator at the Omenka Gallery, and Chief Operating Officer at Revilo Company Limited, a leading art publishing company in Lagos.
