Kaline Akinkugbe is a classically trained pianist, who stood out at an early age with her amazing sense of music, which she got from her father, and her knowledge of musical instruments, which she got from her mother. Since her childhood, the talented soul singer has been deeply immersed in the world of music.

After completing her university degree in Economics at the Imperial College, London, she made the decision to chase her dream of studying music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she found her voice and style. As with everything she has put her mind to, she excelled at it and even emerged as the winner of the 2012 Songs for Social Change song writing competition, with Stand Up and Fight. The song was inspired by a story she read in a Nigerian newspaper about domestic violence.

She believes that her music and voice will help to inspire and empower people. She continues to grow as an artiste, while performing in concerts in Nigeria and around the world on her journey of self-discovery.

Kaline will be hosting her very own house concert – Khalifa House Concert 003, on December 10 at The Studio, Quintessence, Park View Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
